As an art director and photographer for the Eva Clarkson Garment project, I aimed to highlight the treatment of women in the history of Savile Row while celebrating the pioneering women who paved the way. Through my work, I wanted to embrace and celebrate movement, showcasing the designs of the garment in a unique and captivating way.
The poses of self-embrace and stretching forward not only showcase the garment's design but also convey a sense of celebration. The stretching movement symbolizes embarking on a journey towards a new world, while the self-embrace represents self-love and appreciation. These poses symbolize the empowerment of women and their ability to forge ahead in the face of adversity.
Through this project, I hope to inspire and educate viewers on the treatment of women in the fashion industry, while celebrating the pioneering women who have made a significant impact. By embracing movement and showcasing the design of the Eva Clarkson Garment, I hope to create a visual story that highlights the strength and resilience of women.
